CRA tax return scam targeting Mississauga and Brampton residents

The season for taking taxes may be over, but scammers are still out there attempting to trap citizens out of their personal information. One such trick is to pose to be from the Canada Revenue Authority (CRA) and prompts the victim to answer for more subtle elements about their tax return this year.

Citizens are prompted that this usually is a false message and not a true legitimate communication from the CRA. Residents are hereby urged to take caution before revealing their tax information.
